My first and only tattoo! I never really seen myself as a tattoo person but one on the wrist always intrigued me. After a couple years of contemplating I settled on the moon with no stars. I guess I thought maybe the stars would be too much especially since I wanted something simple. But looking at other peoples, they look nice. Perhaps someday I will have the stars added? I didnt realize it was so popular, so I guess having no stars is more original. The Smashing Pumpkins will always be my favorite band and also for the longest time I've always liked celestial things- moon, stars, etc so I thought it fit well. He's cute.. he makes me happy. The tattoo artist assumed it was going to be flipped 180 so he could see as he was drawing it. I had always pictured it facing me. I thought about it and realized this tattoo was truly for me and no one else so it made more sense to have it face me since I would be looking at it the most. I think it means something to me personally- dreams, simplicity and beauty. Things that Billy expresses well! Every weekend I was like "I'm gonna do it!" but never did. Finally, I was housesitting for some people during Thanksgiving and they live a couple houses down from a tattoo place and I said this is it. And yes, it hurt. But luckily it only took 5 minutes and was well worth it. :)
